Родился эксмер 9 июля 1968 в Виннице. Сергей Моргунов начал свой карьерный путь в Черновцах, где получил образование на историческом факультете местного университета. На некоторое время обучение было прервано из-за военной службы. После получения диплома в 1992 году молодой историк отправился в Винницкий техникум мясной и молочной промышленности, где некоторое время работал преподавателем истории. В тот период такая профессия не считалась престижной, особенно в провинции, однако когда появилась возможность перейти в сферу бизнеса, Моргунов, учитывая его семейный бизнес-опыт, быстро принял решение. Следует отметить, что в Виннице тогда рынки определяли ритм жизни. Это было время, когда будущий премьер-министр Владимир Гройсман начинал свой путь на этих рынках и когда семья Порошенко владела кондитерской фабрикой. Здесь деньги крутились большие, а налоги уплачивались не всегда.
Отец Сергея, тоже директор одного из винницких базаров, передал ему большой опыт. В 1998 году Моргунов-младший вместе со своими партнерами основал ООО «АМиК», которое объединило несколько винницких базаров. Сергей активно участвовал в развитии компании, приобретая опыт и умения в сфере бизнеса. Моргунов был заместителем директора, однако со временем он решил изменить свой курс и вышел на политическую арену, типичную для новой украинской элиты. Сергей Моргунов – не только бизнесмен и политик, но и семьянин. Сейчас он женат на Наталье Владимировне, вместе они воспитывают дочь Веронику.
Скандалы и доходы городского головы
Путь Сергея Моргунова, проложенный через политические успехи, вызвал изумление и критику местных бизнесменов и граждан. Начало его карьеры связано с Винницким техникумом мясной и молочной промышленности, но быстро проходит переход в сферу бизнеса, где Сергей становится ключевым игроком на рынках города. Также в планах обновить на территории общества 50 км дорог, увеличить транспортный парк на сто тридцать единиц. В приоритете создать 1250 мест в детсадах, провести реконструкцию с утеплением семнадцати школ и детсадов, обновить стадионы в пяти и бассейны в двух школах, открыть шесть детсадов, начать строительство новой школы, увеличить количество рабочих мест, больше использовать зеленую энергетику и многое другое.
